AGON took over management of the Best Western Astor Hotel with 212 rooms in 2004. Upon takeover, AGON implemented its management systems and processes and dramatically turned around its operations to be profitable. For example, in the first year under AGON's management, Best Western Astor Hotel's revenue had increased by 184%, energy cost reduced by almost 40%, and gross operating profits increased by 10 times.
After AGON turned the asset into an attractive one, the owner was able to sell it to a hotel group who later took over its management after AGON transferred its management rights.
